On June 29, 2024, Tashka Qualls the father of Aleeka and Zion Qualls found the 20-year-old murderer Elijah Albert Qinkade Croy hiding in their home. Croy was hidden in the bedroom of their home. Croy attempted to kill Tashka but soon diverted his attention to the two sisters. He shot Aleeka and Zion multiple times for reasons no one knows. Most think it was because they were easier targets.
