This case shows that sometimes even the most perfectly laid out story of child sexual abuse can turn out to be fabricated

The Way Forward

The way forward when it comes to false reports of child sexual abuse is to spend time conducting a thorough investigation. Law enforcement agents have to interview the child and the accused repeatedly to check for inconsistencies. Request for medical examination on the child to check if there is any piece of evidence left to corroborate their claim. Review alibis and evidence about the case. Also, assess the credibility of the child to ensure that an innocent person is not punished for a false crime
